Chard Sideboard

This collection is conceived as an exploration of controlled irregularity and material depth. Burnt solid wood blocks of varying sizes and thicknesses are assembled in an intentionally random composition, creating a tactile surface that feels layered and charred. The scorched finish enhances grain, cracks, and imperfections, allowing each block to read as a distinct fragment within a unified whole. In contrast, select surfaces introduce rhythm through fine horizontal fluting, also crafted from burnt solid wood, lending visual calm and continuity. The result is a piece that feels handcrafted, bold, and grounded in material honesty.
