Ether Lounge Chair

The Ether Lounge Chair picks its silhouette from a guitar pick – its softened triangular profile giving the chair a fluid form. The form wraps around in a continuous, enveloping shell, creating a sense of comfort and containment. A play of dual materiality – the outer shell of the chair is rendered in leather, while the inner bucket is upholstered in fabric. This contrast accentuates the chair’s sculpted volume and layered construction. The chair’s legs appear to grow organically from its body, as though the structure naturally extends downwards to meet the ground.
